With iconic racetracks and formidable street circuits, the WTCR, brings an eclectic field, and the latest high-performance production cars to Morocco, Malaysia and everywhere in between.
The UK’s biggest racing series is fast, frentic and close-fought, attracting performance cars and petrolheads from across the country. Since 2020, Goodyear has been the sole supplier of tyres to every team.
24 hours, 1600 refuelling stops, 5000 km of flat out racing, 340 km/h top speed. The statistics alone would make the race one of the world’s greatest sporting events. Add fierce competition, the technological challenge and a gruelling demonstration of human adventure to the mix and wrap it in an all-night party atmosphere for fans and you get something truly special.
The LMGT3 platform is reflective of the technology found in today’s supercars. Popular models such as Porsche 911, Ferrari 296 GTB and Lamborghini Huracan are all represented in the Le Mans field with their race-ready equivalents. As the exclusive tire supplier to the LMGT3 category in WEC, Goodyear has reiterated its commitment to international motorsport. Endurance racing provides an invaluable test bed for developing the next generation of performance road tires and is an opportunity for Goodyear to showcase its technology and expertise. Nine manufacturers are competing in LMGT3 this season.
Goodyear continues its exclusive supply to the LMP2 category at Le Mans and the European Le Mans Series. Like LMGT3, LMP2 teams will have just one dry tire specification available, with emphasis on making the tires last for multiple stints and maximising performance throughout the race.
For more than half a century the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring has been writing its own story and consolidating its reputation as one of the toughest endurance races in the world. Held since 1970, with over a 25km lap length, the race allows more than 200 cars and over 700 drivers to participate.
