The Goodyear Blimp Mayflower makes a guest appearance in the Beatles film Help!

The Goodyear Blimp fleet goes international with the Europa, first flown from Cardington Airfield, UK and later based in Italy.
1984
For the first time, two blimps work in tandem covering the same event - the Los Angeles Olympics.

The Goodyear Blimp returned to the skies of Europe and was present in the legendary Le Mans 24 hour race.

The Cockpit
The Goodyear Blimp is 75m long by 17.4m tall with an envelope volume of 8425mᶟ.
The Goodyear Blimp travels at a max speed of 125 km/h at a maximum flight altitude of 3000m. It can travel for a maximum of 22 hours when required.
There are 4 Goodyear Blimps in total - 3 are in the US including Wingfoot One, Wingfoot Two and Wingfoot Three with the addition of the European Goodyear Blimp.
The Goodyear Blimp is powered by three four-cylinder, 200-horsepower engines which are located on either side of the envelope and at the tail and can propel the airship at speeds of up to 125 Km/h.
At our activations the Goodyear Blimp is able to carry passengers on an invitation only basis.
